1966 Topps Bobby Orr #35 PSA NM-MT 8 - Only Two Higher. The 1966 Topps Bobby Orr rookie card is among the most coveted hockey cards in the entire history of the hockey card galaxy. Tied to a Boston Bruin organization that caught wind of his prodigious skill at the tender age of fourteen, the exceptional talent that was Bobby Orr was ready for the big stage of the NHL by the time he was a 6' 200-pound eighteen year old. Orr had all the skills from a very early age -- superb speed, phenomenal stickhandling, and out-of-this-world defensive prowess. Few who had seen him play would say that the Bruins were out of line when they made the teen the highest-paid player in NHL history for his rookie campaign. To say that he was good in his debut professional campaign would be a glaring understatement -- he collected a number of accolades including the Calder Trophy as the league's best rookie, a spot on the Second All-Star Team, and finished second in the league in scoring by defenseman.
