This auction is for an original paper photo of The Flock which was most likely handed out at personal appearances by the band sometime between 1966 and 1968. I got this in a group of WCFL record surveys from 1966/1967. It measures 8-1/2" x 11" and is printed on thin paper. (This is NOT a glossy photo on photographic paper that would be sent to a newspaper or in a press kit. This is one the band printed on paper to hand out to fans at appearances.) It lists "Personal Managment" as M G Production Company" plus their Fan Club address and their booking agency, Willard Alexander, Inc. Not dated, but I believe that their 45s on Destination Records and USA Records 1966 thru 1968 listed "MG Prod", prior to them signing with Columbia Records, so this would be from sometime between 1966 and 1968. From the internet: The Flock band members around 1966 - 1968 were Ron Karpman (drums, vocals); Jerry Smith (bass & vocals); Rick Canoff (sax & vocals); Fred Glickstein (guitar & vocals); Rick Mann (guitar & vocals); Frank Posa (trumpet); and Tom Webb (sax, flute, harmonica & vocals). The photo is in good condition except that the fan folded it into eighths (probably to fit into his or her pocket) - there is a small tear along the top margin (3/4" x 3/16") - there is one horizontal crease across the middle and three vertical creases (from being folded) read more
