Original1967 Vintage Mrs. Beasley by Mattelitem 16-501Her collar and apron are original with her reproduction black plastic GlassesAs you can see in the pictures her collar white dots didn't come as white as I would have like.Looks like her hair has been permed before. Yes some people really do perm the hair. Why I have no idea.Please see picture of pull string. This is what it is supposed to look like. Be careful as most people restoring these toys don't do it this way. They have the pull ring at the body. It should hang down. First reason the string could come loose and fly inside. If you look at the original dolls with there pull string you can see they look like mine. I hope they read this and up there game. A lot of time they cut the string off at the metal holder and just unwind the string a few times to get the string long enough to tie., If your doll slows down at the end it because the string was not long enough to make it tight so it will talk at correct speed.Mrs Beasley's hair info. When you are buying a Mrs Beasley there were 2 different dolls. The first one they manufactured had a seem down the front of the chest. She came with straight hair not curly. The second retooled Mrs Beasley came with straight and curly hair. I have all of the original Mattel Mrs Beasley's list so you can see the difference and this one came without the seem down the chest. I do not boil the hair to get it back to style. If you don't know this but when you heat up plastic and let it cool it becomes more weak. Then comes breakage. I don't use perm rods and pour boiling water on them to add curl. I don't add armor all for cars to add shine. I take came and wash the hair in warm water and condition and use a hair net to retrain the hair. It Takes time and sometimes it just cant be perfect. Trust me the curly haired Beasley's curl comes back in once wet. No need to put armor all on the hair to make it shine. Plus it is oily. Please give me a call if you would like more info. My number is at the end of each listing.If your buying a Mrs. Beasley she should be around 3 pounds. If she is not then the original stuffing was not put back in.Her ric-rac is original! Make sure your buying all original! You can tell as original is smaller and others use medium ric-rac to replace!Make sure you ask when you are buying a Mrs Beasley if when they restored her if they put the original stuffing back in and it was cleaned.Talks loud and clear!Remember you are buy a 40 plus year old doll. None are Mint. Even if it says MINT these dolls are to old to say that. These are now collectables, not toys.Why buy a dirty doll that has been repaired to talk.No ordors. She has alot of years left to the home that would love to have her come live her retirement. I cleaned her inside and out.
