If you are looking at this auction, you probably know what you are looking at. This is the real deal -- a 1967 vintage, Ludwig Supra-phonic. THE snare that's been on many, many hit records throughout music history. This features a baseball bat muffler, white dampening pad, P-83 throw and a Ludalloy (chrome-plated aluminum) shell. 14x5. The Keystone badge says it's serial number is 447513 (visit this site for serial numbers and dating of Ludwig snares: /serial_numbers.html).The condition is as can be expected. Everything is perfectly functional, but there is a pock-marked, pitted shell, which is typical of these snares of this age. There are a few minor scratches as well. You can get an extent of the pitting from the photos. The heads are both in good shape. The throw has rust on it but works well, and the rims have very small parts of rust on them as well. A couple of the snares have been trimmed off (I prefer less snare strands rather than more), and it sounds killer. I'm only selling this snare drum to fund audio recording equipment. Please ask questions before purchasing. This is a 3-day, limited time auction. NO RESERVE. Shipping will be UPS Ground in the US. The box will be 18x18x9 at 10 lbs. shipping from 89506. I ONLY CHARGE FOR SHIPPING COSTS AND NO MORE (IN THE U.S.) I do add $5 handling for international shipping.
