Auction is for a vintage mint 1968 Newport Pop Festival handbill. Featured headline bands are: Jefferson Airplane, Tiny Tim, Sonny & Cher, Grateful Dead, Eric Burdon and the Animals, The Byrd's, Electric Flag, Blue Cheer, Canned Heat, Iron Butterfly, Chambers Bros., Steppenwolf, James Cotton Blue Band and Quicksilver Messenger Service. I found a stack of these at a yard sale in Bakersfield, California. The owner was an eclectic recluse that was a huge music/model promoter back in the mid sixties to early seventies. This handbill has never been in circulation.
