Here is a real memory time-capsule....."Great year 1968" and a great source to look up old personal residences phone numbers and addresses. Also old boy & girl friends, class mates, relatives, etc. and also old businesses i.e. movie theaters, drug and grocery stores, etc.. that you use to frequent. It is a large vintage 1968 BALTIMORE "METROPOLITAN" PHONE BOOK from the Chesapeake & Potomac Telephone Co. "covering all of the 301 area code". It includes all of the 301 area suburbs--see att. pic showing areas covered. It also includes all area yellow pages....Note--The suburbs are all "inclusive" in it i.e. not seperate suburban sections all residence addresses and phone numbers are listed in alphabetical order. It is a very large metropolitan phone book the C&PTCo. did not seperate the Baltimore metro phone book into seperate suburburban books until following years i.e.1969-70. I guess they finally had to.... it got so big and heavy.......It includes phone numbers and addresses + all businesses yellow pages listings for all of Baltimore City & County including 301 area code....to name just a few.... Towson, Pikesville, Lutherville, Timonium, Dundalk, Ruxton, Cockeysville, Owens Mills, etc., etc....Refer to the listing pic.
