Hollywood, California--Ashe talks about black athletes--Lieutenant Arthur Ashe, Jr., the nation's finest tennis player, tells a panel on the television program "Face The Nation" today that, "prominent black athletes have a responsibility to champion the causes of their race." Ashe, who is from Richmond, Virginia, and a UCLA graduate, recently led the U.S. Davis Cup team to victory over Spain and won the U.S. and Open championships. Ashe also told the panel, 'I am adamantly opposed to separatism.'Photo measures 8 x 10inches. Photo is dated 09-15-1968.
