Beautiful Tamaya & Co Ltd. Sextant in its original case and all in original wood box. Looks great . . The wood box has Sextant , but in the little t I am not sure of the type of metal which makes up the body of the sextant, one scope/eyepiece is probably 12 x 20 mm, I am not positive but those are the numbers used 4 shades for index mirror and 3 shades for horizon mirror. Other than that , I really do not know much about these instruments. T is a spot or two on the arc that shows green, so a polishing may be in order. The primary eyepiece, which has been screwed in place since I have had the sextant, fits perfectly into the only unoccupied hole in the box, so I am pretty sure nothing is missing. Still has stamped card. In the bottom of the box is the spare scope, a small screwdriver, a bag of dessicant, and some tissue. One end of the arc has TAMAYA & CO. LTD which matches the number on the inside lid of the box and on the outside name plate . NO 23730 The other end of the arc Great dovetail construction box has lots of scratches along the bottom and the key is missing (takes some kind of skeleton key) . Name plate has TRADE MARK TAMAYA & CO. LTD. NO 23730 GINZA TOKYO 1968 9. Box has felt covered wood rests with pin swivelling wood keepers w needed to hold items in place.. All interior section looks great. handle still . A real beauty read more
