Game program for a Jan. 15, 1970 game between the 1969-70 Kentucky Colonels and the New York Nets of the American Basketball Association (ABA).Louie Dampier and Darel Carrier led the Colonels and again appeared in the ABA All Star Game, joined by teammate Gene Moore.George Tinsley and former University of Kentucky star Tommy Kron were also on the team. The Colonels finished the season with a record of 45-39 good for second place in the Eastern Division. They defeated the New York Nets 4 games to 3 in the Eastern Division semifinals but lost in the Eastern Division finals to the Indiana Pacers, 4 games to 1.Program is in very good shape. No rips, tears, dogears, or missing pages. One staple is a little mangled but that was original to the pressing. The center page is ever so slightly loose on the top staple. The attendee of the game kept score. Evidently, former UK Wildcat Louie Dampier went OFF, scoring 38! Darel Carrier had 36.FINAL SCORE: KYC 132, NYN 124Originally 50 cents. 20 Pages not including the cover pages.Program contains some fun old ads including Falls City beer, Pepsi, Coke, KFC, Converse shoes, as well as many local Louisville establishments.Purchase my other Colonels program up for auction (vs. Miami Floridians) and shipping is free on the second one.* Will ship within one business day of confirmed payment received.
