1969 Marvel Thor Comics #162-164-165-166-167-Very Gd Cd 1969 Marvel Thor Comics #162-164-165-166-167 - Very Good Condition Condition: These comics are used, but they are in very good condition, with the following observations: #162 - the front cover is fine except for some minor wrinkles, especially along the spine, and slight edgewear and cornerwear...the back cover is fine except for some minor wrinkles and slight edgewear and cornerwear...the spine is okay except for one small split where the top layer of paper is cracked...the inner pages have yellowed slightly, but are otherwise in excellent condition, with no rips, tears, missing pages, or creases; #164 - the front cover is fine except for some minor wrinkles, and slight edgewear and cornerwear...the back cover is fine except for some minor wrinkles, a shallow indentation (not quite a crease), and minor edgewear and cornerwear...the spine is okay except for slight edgewear and two tiny missing pieces of the top layer of paper (the largest is about 1/8" long, and both are next to the staples)...the inner pages are excellent except for slight yellowing and a shallow bend in a few pages near the back cover-on some pages, the color panels are not printed perfectly straight with the margin (manufacturing error); #165 - the front cover is fine except for minor wrinkling-there is a tiny pink spot on Him's leg-there is a small printing flaw just above the "H"-there is also a dent and small spot on Him's leg-there is minor edgewear and cornerwear-there is a faint horizontal groove caused by the printing press which can only be seen in reflected light...the back cover is fine except for a shallow horizontal groove caused by the printing press-a faint bend in the paper near the top corner-there is another shallow crease near the bottom corner there is also slight edgewear and cornerwear...the spine is okay except for minor wrinkling and a tiny torn spot by the bottom staple...the inner pages are excellent except for slight yellowing; #166 - the front cover is fine except for a noticeable wrinkle next to the spine-there are faint horizontal lines in the paper caused by the printing press which can only be seen in reflected light-there are minor wrinkles-there is slight edgewear and cornerwear; the back cover is fine except for minor wrinkling-there is slight edgewear and cornerwear-there is slight soiling along the spine from contact with another comic...the spine is okay except for minor wear along the spine and minor endwear...the inner pages are excellent except for slight yellowing-the color panels are not printed straight, so they don't align with the margins (manufacturing error)-some of the ad pages show ink transfer from the opposite page; #167 - the front cover is fine except for slight wrinkles near the spine, and slight edgewear and cornerwear...the back cover is fine except for a yellow blotch on the red background of an ad (printing error), plus slight edgewear and cornerwear...the spine is okay except for slight wear along the spine, plus slight endwear on both ends...the inner pages are excellent except for slight yellowing, plus tiny holes along the bottom edge caused by the printing press-page 13 has slight ink transfer from the opposite page. None of these comics have missing, torn, creased, or stained pages, except as noted. Some of the comics are photographed at odd angles to eliminate glare spots from the camera flash. Each comic book comes with a protective plastic sleeve. Description: This series of Thor are a Stan Lee and Jack Kirby production...each comic has 32 pages, which consist mostly of color panels of the Norse god Thor and the other gods and goddesses of Asgard-these comics tell about their adventures on earth...there are a few pages of advertising.
