Here we have a quite splendid solid silver 4 piece Sheffield made tea service of most breathtaking 'Paul Storr' form. This is a beautiful example of a reproduction George IV 4 piece silver tea service in the style of the most famous silversmith of all,Paul Storr. All pieces are assayed in Sheffield,1969 by high quality makers Elkington.Stamped to each side likewise.Year letter B.Stamped to base of each likewise too. For reference teapot is 7.5 inches in height and 11.5 inches in diameter,it is thus of very good size. It is clearly a result of the highest quality workmanship.A stunning pot,its weight is a sublime 1154 grams. Coffee/hot water pot is 9.5 inches high and 9 inches wide.It weighs a considerable 918 grams. Crucially handles and finials are firm and secure.Both pots even feature a flush hinge which proves just how good they really are. Sugar bowl is 3.625 inches in height and 6.875 inches in diameter.Weight is a sublime 494 grams. Cream jug is 4.625 inches in height and 5.875 inches in diameter.Weight is a considerable 350 grams.
