1970 Chevelle SS 396 L89 1:18 Die-Cast Replica MTR Enterprises "Collector's Edition" ERTL American Muscle Series Collectibles Offering this nicely detailed and represented 1970 Chevelle SS 396, L89 MTR Enterprises "Collector's Edition" 1/18 scale replica produced by ERTL as part of their American Muscle Series of collectible die-cast replicas. This is ERTL Item Number 29061 and UPC # 036881290612 . This highly collectible replica is presented in a Shadow Gray Metallic exterior finish. This Collector's Edition was produced for MTR Enterprises and to MTR's specifications that included the hood and trunk "Stripe Delete" option. The replica's equally well detailed interior is presented in Black . This replica is "New In Box" and will make a great addition to the collection of that "special" Chevelle enthusiast or other die-cast muscle car replica collector on your Christmas shopping list. This nicely detailed replica comes with an opening hood and doors. Under the replica's hood you will find a nicely represented engine bay that is home to the famous Chevrolet L89 aluminum head, 396 c.i., 375 h.p.Turbo-Jet V-8 engine. The Big Block 396 is backed up by a Muncie M22 "Rock Crusher" 4 speed manual transmission. In the nicely replicated bench seat interior you will find details such as a "Four On The Floor" 4 speed shifter and wood trimmed steering wheel. Underneath the replica you will find a nicely detailed chassis, exhaust and suspension system with posable front wheels. The replica rides on period correct Firestone Wide Oval tires mounted on Chevrolet Styled Steel Wheels. This collectible replica was purchased by HolidayMouse Collectibles from a collector who was liquidating their die-cast collection. The collector stated that the replica was still new in its box with the original ERTL hood and door shipping straps still intact and had never been displayed. At the time we acquired the replica, to the extent possible by viewing the replica through the box window, it was inspected for the typical ERTL production quality defects and none were detected. In addition and again to the extent possible without removing the replica from its box, our inspection concluded that the replica is "New In Box" as claimed by the collector. Per the collector t his replica was always stored in a smoke free residential hobby room environment and never handled by children or teens. The replica's original manufacturer's box and box window are in great condition evidencing only a minimal amount of what is typically referred to in the die-cast collector's community as "shelf wear". The replica is ready for immediate shipment.
