1970 Christmas Festiniog Railway First Day Cover with Festiniog Railway Company CDS & Minffordd cancel on Railway Letter Fee stamps. 1 of only 11 covers with this combination.Festiniog Railway First Day Covers: There are two main varieties of these: 1. Covers cancelled with a Festiniog Railway CDS or special handstamp, which are carried on the Railway only and have a cachet "To be called for at ..........Station" 2. Covers cancelled with a Post Office CDS or special handstamp, which are carried on the Railway and delivered by the Post Office. These have a cachet "To be posted on arrival at ............"In addition all the covers bear Railway Letter Fee stamps which are cancelled with an oval Festiniog Railway handstamp with a station name (or TPO) in the centre. There are eight different variations of these. Although no issues have used all eight together, many issues have used several of them.
