This is a signed, circa 1970 or so, original oil painting on hardboard panel by the Yorkshire artist LEWIS CREIGHTON. Works by this artist are in the Scarborough Museums Collection and private collections. It measures 12" by 10" ( 305mm by 205mm ) and is unframed, although I have kept the original 1" wide white finished wooden frame so widely used for framing in the 1960's if required. I took it off for my photo. It is painted on a panel of hardboard as most of his works were.It is of a moorland scene with sheep wandering along a path with storm clouds coming in above, probably the Yorkshire moors. In good condition, it is well observed and painted in a rather fresh impressionistic style and has his inscribed signature in the bottom left corner. A charming small painting, it can be sent anywhere in the world. Thanks for Looking, why not check out my other items & add me to your favourites.
