See my ebay store and web site for everything you need for your Rupp to bring it up to shape! Check out my other items ! New TC(torque converter) belt. This is CORRECT length belt for all Tecumseh powered 1970 and later bikesYou WILL NOT be disappointed!! This belt being PROPER length, width and thickness will allow your TC assembly to make a full shift to high gear unlike other belts that have too loose of a fit. Before buying any belt or any ebay item for that fact, ask questions be safe and don't spend your hard earned $$ on incorrect parts! Fits 1970 Roadster, Enduro and Scrambler models. A full shift to high means max top speed! Even though you think you have a decent belt, the rubber is most likely old.....that means it has lost its resilience. New rubber will make your TC operate smoother, it will grab better, and not slip as much. Clean your pulleys with carb cleaner, laquer thinner, finger nail polish remover before installing and think about changing your frt TC spring as well. The spring gets hot, its old and been smashed all its life. It has lost quite a bit of it's life as well. YOU CAN NOT ADJUST THE ENGINE FOR BELT TENSION ON A RUPP!!!! THE ENGINE FITS INTO FIXED HOLES not the slotted holes AND IS NOT ADJUSTABLE!!!! THAT IS WHY PROPER BELT LENGTH IS CRITICAL FOR PROPER TC OPERATION. NO big rules! NO frills! Just the read more
