The LaSalle hotel is no longer a high end hotel in Chicago. There was a devasting fire in the hotel in 1946 and it claimed the lives of 61 persons. The LaSalle, still structurally sound, was quickly refurbished, though not quite to its former splendor. It remained in operation until July of 1976. The hotel was demolished soon thereafter. The site is now occupied by the Two North LaSalle office building. The key fob is either gold plated or brass. I think it is brass and it is 2mm thick and heavy and the measurements are 2-1/4" x 1-3/8". It shows the LaSalle building in the background and it says, "LaSalle Chicago Hotel".They back of the key fob says, If carried away please drop in any mail box. We guanrantee postage. 300" ( which is the room number. I believe it was a meeting room. Large actual key Yale & Towne Mfg, Co.
