For Sale here is my beloved mini, "Eddie". I am selling him very reluctantly, but I am moving house and will not have a garage any more, plus my arthritis is getting worse, making it more difficult for me to look after him. We bought Eddie 5 years ago and have had the most fun driving him, I really didn't think I could enjoy driving as much as I enjoyed driving him.We have been from Leicester to Newquay and back three times in Eddie and he never broke down once... Good Points Tax Exempt 1275 MG Metro engine, has never let me down Unique, one-of-a-kind Fibreglass bonnet, the guy who made it didn't keep the mould. More or less brand new tyres all round The whole floor has been replaced about a year ago (including repairs to the boot floor) all welding was done by a genuine mini genius (thanks again, Mr Creak!) Almost brand new inner and outer sills, done at same time as floor repair New rear subframe Bad Points Needs a new scuttle under the front windscreen, filled it full of filler last summer, but, as pictured, it does need replacing. A few areas of rust around the doors, footsteps and window seals, nothing terminal though Replaced the clutch at the end of last summer, then, on the way home lost all drive. He's been in my garage ever since. It could be that the flywheel has come loose, but more likely the gearbox is buggered. Any read more
