1972 KAZUMI AMANO "Presentation" ABSTRACT ART PRINT Embossed signed # 66/75 Description Please scroll down to se all pics. A 1972 pencil signed, dated & titled embossed art print by listed & famous Japanese artist Kazumi Amano (1927 - 2001). Print is titled Presentation. This is # 66 in a limited edition of 75. Amano graduated from Takaoka Industrial College in 1945. He studied under famous Japanese printmaker Shjiko Munakata. Member of the Print Department, Kokuga-kai Society. Amano moved to New York in 1971. He created geometric abstractions on paper through woodblock printing combined with etching and embossing techniques. This is a beautiful example of the abstract geometric prints the artist is noted for including strong color and embossing. Colors are rich & vibrant . The gray areas are actually a silver color. Paper is a heavy smooth white rag (feels like to me). Print measures approx. 9-1/4" x 12-5/8". Condition is great, some creasing in bottom left margin otherwise I don't see any damage . No toning or foxing. I don't know if the the print has been cut down or not, margins are very narrow, however the paper edges are clean looking & if cut down a good job was done of it. Back has a short pi ece of brown paper attached which I leave to the new owner to remove before framing . Kazumi Amano works can be found in the
