1973 Commonwealth of the Bahamas Silver Proof 10 Dollars coin. Issued to commemorate the Bahamas gaining full Independence on 10 July 1973. The obverse of the coin bears the Arnold Machin portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, while t he reverse design depicts the Santa Maria ; flagship of Christopher Columbus. Date on the right, denomination below. Light scratches to both sides, otherwise about extremely fine. Struck by the Franklin Mint, USA in .925 Sterling Silver. It has a 50mm diameter and weighs 49.75 grams (ASW 1.4795 oz troy) . Ref: Krause KM#42 Photos are of the actual coin being auctioned.
