Replacement jackplate , bridge pickup, and tuners (The changed plate dates to 1979) This bass has 73 pots and all the specs of a 1973 (Plexi truss rod cover, cast aluminum gap tootH tailpiece, and half inch spacing on the neck pickup ) The checker board binding 4001 appeared in the early 70s and by 73 they had stopped mass producing them. You will notice that the tuners are wavy. The tuners have been changed thus the extra screw holes. The original tuners would have been the same wavy design as the Grovers now on this bass but would have had different positions for the screws and cLosed backs. The bass is in overall great shape . There is a small amount of rust on the metal surround of the bridge pickup. The body and headstock show a little play wear but nothing major. Only a small amount of buckle rash on the back of the body. The headstock shows a few dings and scrapes but there is no structural damage. All round excellent bass.
