1973 VOLKSWAGEN BEETLE LHD Here we have a really nice example of a 1973 Volkswagen beetle. Ive not had it too long and had good intentions to get it all ready for some summer use. Unfortunately my circumstances have changed and its got to make room for a new project. The car came over from Belgium in 1985 and has had 5 keepers since then. It was laid up by its last owner in the Summer of 2009 and that was the last time it was running. Its been well stored and is in pretty good shape. I beleive it had has new wings sills and lots of other panels and cosmetic work. The paint is in very good condition and has a couple of minor rust patches. One by the filler cap and another just above the passenger door. It has near new EMPI wheels with good tyres. It has been de bumpered and has an interesting reg number. The interior is a little tired , mainly the drivers seat but an easy fix. The Engine hasnt been run since 2009. It was running up till the day it was stored. Its had a1303 engine fitted (the log book says 1300) which im told is 1600 cc type. Ive fitted a brand new battery but have yet to turn it over. Ive cranked it over by hand and it turns freely. It needs a good man with some Beetle Knowldege and time to get her going . It really doesnt need much to get it back on the road. I may even consider getting it MOT;d and running depending read more
