You are bidding on a 1973 Wurstfest New Braunfels Stein/Mug. The mug features two german dancers. The mug is a tannish/cream color and is a 1 liter stein/mug. Wonderful addition to your Wurstfest Stein collection. I did not note any cracks or chips. The bottom of the mug still has the Opa's Haus of Steins sticker firmly attached. The stein has GERZ printed on the side of the stein. Original price was about $6.50 for the 1 liter mug in 1973 - they are now valued at $215.00, due to their rarity. See the pictures. The 1973 Wurstfest Mug sold out relatively soon, and it displayed a tendency that would last for the next 15 years. The 1973 design was the first mug that commissioned an artist. Nelson Blalock at the time was supermarket employee who, as a sideline, did some interesting political cartoons for the local newspaper. The 1973 design was the first of four by Blalock."
