After a lot of back and forth, I've decided to sell my 1974 Gibson ES-335 TD. I love this guitar, but it's time for it to go to a home where someone can play it more and play it better than me. It's a good thing tears can't mar up this listing. I'm gonna' miss her. She comes with an appraisal letter signed by George Gruhn from Gruhn Guitars that I got a couple weeks ago saying the market value is $3000. I'm asking less. Here's what's not original: one plastic knob for volume and one plastic knob for tone. The pots, pickups, all other electronics and so on are original. The case is not original. It's a brand new, perfect condition Epiphone case that I bought last week. Fits perfectly. What else is wrong with it? At some time in the past, someone had changed the tuners. The originals are back on, but there are six tiny holes in the back where the others were. All of the above was reported to Gruhn and is in the letter and the value is still $3000 in his opinion. This guitar plays so well it isn't even funny. You will love it. I will miss it. To clear up one thing, here is what Gruhn writes in the letter. The underlined part is what I'm referring to as being cleared up: This guitar features a three-piece maple neck, which is a feature first introduced in September of 1974. The serial number is in a range used in 1974 and 1975
