Up for bid are 4 JRR Tolkien Calendars showing artist renderings of scenes from the Lord of The Rings books. 1975-1978 are represented here. The nerd in me is telling me that the 1977 calendar matches up with the 2011 calendar so that one is actually fully functional for this year. However, I think the 1978 calendar will only line up with 2012 until February 29. 2012 is a leap year. 1978 was not. The pics are trying to show the condition the calendars. Pic 1 shows the covers. I'd say they are in good shape for their age. Pic 2 shows the holes that the calendars have hung by. The 1975 definitely shows the most wear. All the calendars show signs of serving some wall time. Pic 3 is trying to show the creases along the top of the calendars. They don't really show up too well. Pic 4 shows the only writing I found in the calendars. It's on the bottom of the January 1975 calendar. Someone was obviously proud of their collection. Pic 5 shows that the staples pulled through the cover of the 1976 calendar. This is the only one showing this damage. Pic 6 shows the two posters that come with the calendars. One was tucked in the 1976 calendar and the other was hiding in the 1978.
