Hello, You are bidding on one of the earliest examples of a production double telescoping lighstsaber. After much research and speaking to many experts in the hobby, the "DT Circle Variants"were cast individually, the circle marks were ejection points on the mold used to create them. This production method was changed early on where the sabers were created using a sprue where 10 sabers were produced at once and trimmed from the plastic. This was a faster and more efficient way to meet the demand. There are not many examples of sabers with these marks, if you think a standard DT is rare, there are only a handful of these that are documented. Google "DT Circle Variant Luke" this one is missing the inner saber. But still a uniquely rare item for any collector. The circles on the saber are difficult to see, you need the right lighting and angle to see them. There are no reproductions documented with these circle marks. Not much is known about this variant amongst the experts as a prototype of this version has yet to be discovered, but it's only a matter of time before one pops up. � The plastic used on this version is different than the standard saber, the color is different more translucent.
