1978 SAN DIEGO PADRES TEAM AUTO BALL W/ 24 SIGS, COA You are bidding on the item specified in the auction title, though more than one item may be pictured. The ball is in great shape though t is some moderate yellowing on the panels such as visible in the high-quality photos above. Nevertheless, this is a pretty cool ball because t are some big names on and 1978 was the Pads' first winning season. Manager Roger Craig on the sweet spot. Notables include Ozzie Smith from his rookie year, Gene Tenace, Dave Winfield, Randy Jones, Gaylord Perry from Cy Young season. Others easy to read are Perkins, Baker, Almon, Ashford, Mickey Lolich, Roof, Reynolds, Turner, Wietelmann, Lee, Sweet, Owchinko, D'Acquisto, and Williams. Others are a little tougher to make out but show well in those great photos above. This comes to us from a 30 year veteran of MLB who kept this in his private collection until today.
