Swell chance here to secure both the O-Pee-Chee and Topps versions of Wayne Gretzky's famous 1979-80 rookie card, with the nicest corners one could seemingly ever hope for in a VG-EX 4 OPC specimen. They're pleasingly sharp, with however a visible ding/notch in the middle of the right border and resulting wear being the grade lowering flaws. Smooth edges are an attribute and contribute to a terrific looking PSA 4 example. The Topps representative also has smooth edges, with less-than-perfect top-to-bottom and side-to-side centering observed. Bright bold colors strike the beholder, with a mark of EX 5 received from PSA. The holders of both coveted cards are scratch/issue-free. Considered the best prospect to turn pro since Guy Lafleur, Wayne wowed hockey observers for two decades, his mindboggling and record-shattering offensive exploits rendering his rookie cards forever in demand.
