1980 Tim Harrer "The Miracle on Ice" Game Issued USA Olympic Hockey Jersey. A team revolt assured this instantly recognizable jersey would remain "game issued" rather than "game worn," as team captain Mike Eruzione convinced coach Herb Brooks to cut the newcomer Harrer from the roster. After several months of an intensive training and exhibition schedule, the members of the American team considered themselves a cohesive unit--a family even--and all were shocked and disappointed when Brooks introduced four-year University of Minnesota starter just a couple of weeks before the Games. "The thing we questioned was, 'Why now?'" explained Eruzione to team biographer Tim Wendel. The controversy was addressed in the popular 2004 film "Miracle." Grade: 0, Service: Appraised, Service No.: 2214403
