Vintage 1980s Single Don Shepherd Blenko 835 Wedge Handcrafted Clear Ice Geometric Art Glass Bookend. Condition is Used. Solid Heavy Glass Approximately 3 lbs. No Chips or Cracks.Dimensions: 4"H x 4"W x 2.5"DDon Shepherd, (1974-1987) f rom 1974 until April of 1988, Don Shepherd, who was trained as an architect, was the Blenko Company designer .Note: This is a SINGLE bookend, not a pairMr. Shepherd died in February of 2002. The Blenko Project survey lists Mr. Shepherd as the "most favorite designer" among the employees. Blenko employees who worked with Shepherd describe him as a mentor, a teacher, and a friend. He encouraged the Blenko craftsmen to experiment with their glass making, to travel and to exhibit their work, and to consider themselves "craftsmen."
