[21768] (Photography - Sporting Events - Davis Cup). 1981 Davis Cup Tennis Photographs of John McEnroe Collection of approx. 100 35mm negatives with black and white contact prints of the 1981 iteration of this premier international men's tennis sporting event; the final featured Argentina vs. United States; mostly good close-ups of John McEnroe in action and later, a few of him at a press conference - the U.S. won the cup; Roscoe Tanner and Peter Fleming were also with McEnroe on the U.S. team for the event; no photographer or studio noted; taken with Kodak 5063 Pan (Tri-X) film; 4 sheets of contact prints; negatives contained in 'Q-Pic' specialty photographic sleeves; negatives and contact prints in very good condition overall and generally, well-composed, taken with near-professional quality; McEnroe is credited with bringing back United States interest and winning championships in the Davis Cup, playing and winning in the international tournament for many years.
