This auction is for a brass Halley's Comet spyglass or telescope that was issued in 1985/1986 for viewing Halley's Comet. This is a brass spyglass that is 8" long before extended out and extends out to a little over 22 1/8 inches. On the outside of the spyglass it says THE RETURN OF HALLEY'S COMET 1985-1986. This comes in a wooden felt lined box and there is a brass tag on the top of the box that says THE RETURN OF HALLEY'S COMET 1985-1986 NO. AM 8498. This would make a great collectible .
