Classic and rare BMW E28 520i Automatic, platinum green metallic with green velour interior, 117981 miles, MOT Feb 2013, central locking, power steering, electric front windows, electric aerial, sunroof, original toolkit still intact, seats in very good condition for their age; lots of history including virtually every previous MOT. We have owned it for nearly 2 1/2 years and has been used regularly as a second car. The previous owner had owned it since 1999. The car has been extremely reliable, starts on the button and only fault we have had was a gear selector rod breaking. Classic insurance only costs £120 a year. Obviously the car is 27 years old and you can see from the photos that it is not in mint condition. However the panels are straight and it would make a great project or, as we have used it, a great, reliable everyday car. There is rust on the drivers door (see picture) which goes down inside around the hinge; the rear near-side bumper has a dent and the valance below is damaged and rusting (picture attached); the rear offside window winder is inoperative (a minor fix); some damp gets in the boot over the winter; some cracking on dashboard (which is to expected); some other scratches around the bodywork some of which have been touched up (before we bought it).
