A 3-time All-American and Heisman Trophy winner, his pro career started in the Meadowlands with Donald Trump's Generals, giving Trump and the league instant credibility. Across 3 seasons ('83-85), he rushed for 5,562 yards and 54 touchdowns. While gimmicks and inadequate financing would prove fatal for the league, Walker played another decade in the NFL, racking up 8,225 additional rushing yards and 82 more touchdowns.Offered is Walker's Riddell helmet worn during the 1985 Generals season. Significant on a number of levels, it displays tons of obvious use throughout and all correct professional specifications, tagging/stamping, and identifiers specific to authentic Generals helmets of the era and season and more specifically, Hershel Walker - all verifiable thru photo-matches. Everything is correct here: the vintage Riddell shell displays correct Generals' 5-star wreath logos on either side, with correct warning sticker and white block " 34 " numerals applied to back. Exact Riddell cage (one of three mask styles worn by Walker) is affixed with '80s era clear clips (now properly yellowed), and requisite scripted " Generals " front bumper.
