1988-S OLYMPIC PROOF SILVER DOLLAR You are purchasing a 1988-S Olympic Proof Silver Dollar. This dollar was designed and created to commemorate America's participation in the 1988 Olympic Games. The coin is legal tender of the United States and contains .76 troy ounce of pure silver. The obverse has Liberty's torch and the olympic torch merging in a single flame with the words "Olympiad and Liberty." The reverse has the U.S. Olympic Team logo, framed by olive branches. The coin has deep mirror fields with frosty white details giving it a nice cameo effect. This proof dollar is in the original US Mint packaging and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.
