I am selling my 1988 Porsche 924S LeMansspecial edition. It is one of the last years production of the 924, which has the 160bhp engine giving it the same power as the 944. This being leMans special edition model was of only just over 300 in this colour to be imported to Britain (they were only available in black or white, most being black). As a result it has sports suspension with stiffer springs and lowered 15mm over the standard car, larger anti roll bars, electric sunroof as standard, wider teledial wheels, and sports leather interior with contrasting piping there were other differences too I understand. This car is in excellent condition, especially as I believe it has done 122.000 miles! though you wouldn't know to see the condition and the way it drives! It doesn’t have the original LeMans decals to the sides as this was repainted with many of the panels removed the previous owner a couple of years ago. I have a large number of photographs of the work done to the body at that time. The original decals were not available and I put the red Porsche decals on. When it was repainted the original and now rare BBS front and rear skirts were added, I understand these were a rare but original option. It has also had a Kand N filter, performance throttle response cam, and vented disc brakes fitted. The cars exterior is excellent, the paintwork beautiful and the general condition of the body super . There are some very small blisters appeared in the paint is the sill area (small being a few millimetres size) I have had this looked at by a painter who suggests this maybe an issue with the paint in this area and not rust as I showed him the photos of the work done but i would recommend an inspection of the car as I dont want to put her down when she really is anice It has new Pirrelli P6000 tyres all round which are mounted on the original wheels. The wheels were repainted at the time the body work was done and they are perfect with no kebing or damage to any of them, at the time they were repainted the gold centre colours to the ovals was not added. The interior is also in very good condition, the seats are excellent with no rips or cigarette burns etc. There is only a small amount of wear to the piping on the drivers side bolster where you slide over it getting in. The dash unfortunetly is cracked on the top which is a common issue with these cars but I have fitted and material dash top cover which improves the look considerably over standard. Other than that everything works as it should. The car has just been MOT’d in April so comes with a good length of MOT ticket, it went through first time without any problem It also is taxed until end of July 2013. The car comes with everything it should including the sunroof cover which are getting hard to find, and its tool Roll and boot load cover. The car runs brilliantly, for a while last year this was my daily driver and it has never let me down, runs faultless uses no fluids and doesn’t miss a beat and never failed to start first time. I took it to France last year to the LeMans Classic event and she ran without missing a beat and returned over 30mpg Good 924’s are getting hard to find and this one is beautiful and a great car to use regularly, Im sad to get rid of it but I have another project and too many cars and not enough garage space. I would welcome any inspection of the car and really recommend viewing, There is no stereo for the car as I have taken what I had in it. The wiring block is still in so a new stereo is just a plug fit, and the Apline speakers which were fitted as a direct replacement for the factory items will remain.
