The 1989 1 oz. Panda Silver Dollar is a leagal tender 10 yuan coin issued by the People's Bank of China, minted by China Mint Company and distributed by China Gold Coin, Inc. This coin is one of a series that started in 1983 but is the first Panda silver dollar minted in Brilliant Uncirculated condition. The other issues were struck with a mirror Proof finish.The obverse depicts the Temple of Heaven, an architectural wonder built for the ancient Chinese emperors to perform rituals for good harvests.
