A reproduction of Defending The Pond made by Disney Art Editions in a limited run of 1,993 and sold at The Disney Gallery above The Pirates of the Carribean attraction in New Orleans Square after the team's inaugural season. The Sculpture retailed at $975.Large and very impressive with overall size of 9x12x13.5" tall features solid bronze sculpture atop marble base. This statue was issued as part of the "Disney Art Editions." This NHL team was founded in 1993 by The Walt Disney and this sculpture was issued to commemorate the Mighty Ducks professional hockey team's 1993 inaugural season. The sculpture is an intense pose of their mascot Wild Wing. Created by one of the preeminent sculptors of sports figures Steve Landis whose most famous bronze sculpture "Production Line" currently sits in the Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto, Ontario.Only 1,993 sculptures were produced in this limited edition and back edge of base has individual issue number of "110" along with copyright and Landis' name. Sculpture is extremely impressive.I have included one slide on the scale that shows its a hefty 30lbs. Local pickup would be available
