Pair of Wolf Creek Folk Art Carved Figurines "American Gothic" Farmer and WifePair of Vintage 1993 Wolf Creek Folk Art Hand Carved Wood Figurines. They depict the farmer and wife subjects in the 1930 painting "American Gothic" by artist Grant Wood (see example in my last photo above). They look just like the farmer and wife in the painting, even their clothing. Highly-detailed. The farmer is holding a pitchfork and measures 8 3/4" tall. The wife measures 8 1/4" tall. Both are adorable.Both are dated 1993 on the bottom. The farmer sculpture is hand signed by Wolf Creek artist "Karen Rankin". The wife sculpture is hand signed by Wolf Creek artist "Denise Bass". The name "David Rodemann" is hand carved on the back of the wife's dress. Please enjoy my many photos above.In very good condition. There is no damage on the farmer. The wife has a bruise at the tip of her nose. It looks as if she took a fall forward which put a small dent in it (please review all of my photos). Very small nick on the edge of the wife's round base, near the back. Delightful a dditions to your collection!Thanks for Looking!
