1996 30 th Anniversary Francie Limited Edition #14608 Up for auction is Mattel’s 30 th Anniversary Francie Limited Edition doll, in excellent condition. This reproduction of the original 1966 Francie doll was sold in 1996, and is no longer available from Mattel. Francie is dressed in her white, one-piece swimsuit; included is the re-issued “Gad About” outfit. This doll has been removed from the box, displayed, and handled with care by the collector. The doll and box were displayed and stored in a smoke-free environment. More details Because this doll was removed from the box, more details about its condition are listed here. This Francie doll is in near-mint condition. She was only briefly displayed, and has otherwise been stored for about six years. Her hair is in perfect condition, as are her facial features, rooted eyelashes, and bendable legs. Francie is dressed in her white swimsuit; missing are the white low-heeled shoes. All pieces of the “Gad About” outfit are included and are in near-mint condition: sweater, skirt, stockings, green boots, hat, and mod sunglasses. The outfit bag is included, but not attached to the box insert. Also included is her eyelash brush. The box is in good condition, although there is some evident wear mostly on the closure tabs.
