This is the outside row stander with gold mane inspired by Marcus C. Illions, circa 1924. It is part of the Willitts Designs 1997 Carousel Classics by artist Ann Dezendorf. He is 10 1/2" tall on a 4x7 base that is set with a large amethyst "jewel" on each side and was inspired by the designs on carousel rounding boards. T are gold "flames" on the filial at the top of the pole to match the horse's tossed mane. He is made of cold cast porcelain-like resin, hand painted and jeweled. He is #1513 of 9,500. This horse is absolutely MINT in his original box. (The box would rate somew between fair and good). This is a lovely example of Illions' most flamboyant period with lots of flash and glitter. Very, very pretty! I can ship Monday if necessary, to insure Christmas delivery. PayPal and U.S. shipping only. Insurance mandatory unless stated otherwise. Buyer pays shipping based on zip code (calculate). Payment due within 3 days of close of auction. Horse will be well packed and shipped Priority Mail to minimize handling, stacking, etc. So bid with confidence and ENJOY!
