Victoria Cross First Day cover issued 20 January 1998 postmarked City Of London - Personally Signed Ian Edward Fraser VC DSC RD & Bar - Lieutenant Royal Naval Reserve. Whilst in command of HMS Midget Submarine XE3, slid the submarine underneath the Japanese Cruiser Takao, where his diver (J J Magennis) fixed limpet mines to the bottom of the ship. This is a limited edition cover with this signature certified copy 5 of 11. In good condition - signature appears to be in pencil & slight glue transfer to rear of envelope - complete with card insert giving information about the signee - see photographs of the auction cover. Sorry no returns or overseas bidders. Will combine postage just ask before making payment or buyer can pay cash on collection.
