19C Brown Transfer Victorian TB VaseLily of Valley Unsigned Aesthetic Profuse Floral Leaf Design VG Welcome to our royalbert auction and adorable transferware etc store for a great 19th Century antique embossed white ironstone antique Tooth brush Vase, once part of utility wash bowl & pitcher set! Decorated in naturalistic delightful dark and medium Chocolate brown transfer with large Lily leaf and what looks like Lily of the Valley and perhaps Myrtle flowers and leaves on one side and and small flowers, leaves, buds on the other side over white ironstone ground. Gold gilt trim at reverse scallop rim, collar and above base, though much has worn from use as pictured. Very decorative, calling to mind "Maidenhair Fern" pattern, most pleasing Late Victorian Aesthetic Movement Design! We do not know maker or even Country of origin, just know is lovely and antique. We date making to before 1900 by manufacture characteristics of that time. Measurements: 5-1/8" tall and about 5" wide at most bulbous, 3" across bottom base. Condition: Used Original Antique Very Good, no scratches, cracks or chips, no discoloration, stain or repair only wear to gold gilt & under side foot rim, along with non distracting expected clear craze of age.
