19C Green Transferware English Oval Veg Bowl KESWICK Maze Vines Peony Daisy Ferns Ribbons Aesthetic Victorian Design Welcome to our royalbert auction and adorable transferware etc store for an embossed and scalloped dark, medium and light Green transfer & gold gilt decorated Antique English Aesthetic Design white ironstone body Oval Open Vegetable Serving Bowl measuring 9.5" wide side to side, 7" front to back , with rim edge 1-7/8" above table top. Adorned in the Ornate complex Aesthetic stylized & naturalistic Keswick pattern! Design shows Peony, Daisy Flowers leaves, vines, garlands, ribbons, maze line border, scrolls, ferns and tendrils "spilling" from inner rim in seemingly haphazard japonesque way, a device often utilized by Late Victorian ceramic English Staffordshire District designers! Wonderful Aesthetic Late Victorian design! Once part of a large Victorian dining service. Signed at under side as pictured above printed pattern name, Porcelaine De Terra by John Edwards, England identifying as made between 1890 & 1900. Condition: Used original antique very good, with no cracks, no chips, no stain, discoloration or restoration. From use over the years, light expected clear age craze, many light utensil scratches.
