Nice large example with what looks like an Ethiopian made broad double edged blade, having been polished and sharpened in the past and still retaining heavy patina inside the grooves, over the etched decorative designs, and with some scattered areas of extensive pitting. Leather wrapped wooden grip with a traditional large iron crossguard, very effective fighting sword overall and with original leather scabbard bearing pressed decorations and metal tip mount. Solid overall with light wear to all leather. Overall 40" blade 34".
