Beautiful crazy quilt probably from the late 1880's. It has a notation that is written 1893 Aunt Nell,probably the previous owner. The quilt measures 52" by 52", it has no backing. The quilt appears to be finished and completed, it may be that the back was taken off for storage. The quilt is in Excellent condition. The stitching is good and tight, and t is no wear on any of the patches nor their embellishments. The quilt is squares are boardered wiyh navy black and brown velvet. T are names embroidered in this such as,Libbie, Martha, Rebbecca, Pheobe and Emmet and mother. T is a bug, some fabulous flowers and assorted drawings, it goes on and on.
