The jug will have been manufactured late 19 th century in the UK although there are no marks or backstamps for manufacture identification… The overall condition is very good with one small rub to the glaze at the top of the handle, there is a faint small ‘Y’ in the glaze to the base not through to the interior and a very short glazed over ‘firing’ line to the inside of the top behind the handle…display is in no way affected as nothing is obvious or unsightly and there are no chips or restoration. 8¼ ins high, 6½ ins across including spout and handle by 4 ins across the base.
