This style of late 19th Century sponge ware plate with additional hand painted decoration has the most wonderful decorative appeal. Great bright colours bold decoration in a folk art tradition. They are traditionally made in Scotland by factories like Bell's of Glasgow or the Links pottery in Kirkcaldy. date Late 19th Century. Unmarked. Size 10 3/4 inches; 27.5 cm. Deph2 inches 5 cm. Condition good No chips extensive crazing the cracks that appear on the back do not go through on the front deep crazing only.
