This interesting cabinet size stereo view shows an elderly couple posed on the front porch of their home, possibly in Castile, Wyoming County, New York. The only clue to the location is the label "E.F. Johnson, Castile N.Y. View Photographer." There is no other labeling on the view. I don't know anything about this photographer, but a quick look at the Federal Census for 1880 shows 48 Johnsons in Castile at the time. The view is in good condition. There is some edge and corner wear, and a slight stain at the bottom of the second story window in the right hand image. A very small piece of the corner of that view is missing. Contrast is pretty good. Back shows some soiling.
