Offering a wonderful 19th century child's ladderback / thumb back arm chair in early / original green painted surface.The chair's back stiles are shaped / flattened on the front side, ending in a "thumb back" design, with 2 back "cross rails" (ladderback).The chair's round tapering arms are supported by turned front stiles (legs) and it has a full stretcher base. The seat is original and is constructed of thick heavy splint.DIMENSIONS - 20" high x 14 1/2" wide x 11" deep - seat measures 11" wide x 10" deepCONDITION - The chair is in excellent condition structurally - sturdy and solid, and retains its original seat - the seat (as seen in the pics) has one small area where the top layer of splint is missing, but the lower / underside splint remains intact in that area. The seat is very solid and stable and is definitely useable, if desired.SHIPPING - the fixed shipping includes insurance and is for the lower 48 States - Alaska and Hawaii inquire for shipping quote
