Genuine late Victorian Buisiness, Shop Premises Display Sign / Advert... Sign/Advert is of the very early glass/glazed type incorporating gold leaf lettering..as can be seen in pic.. The Sign/advert is for "Alfred E Stroud, Builder and Decorator, Repairs & Alterations" I believe Alfred Stroud was located in the Handsworth, Birmingham area in the late 19th/early 20thC...but please rely on your own knowledge and research... Advert measures 28.5" x 14.5" and is still held within its original / substantial wooden frame... As can be seen in pic there is some distress to the green background colouration. Gold gilt lettering is all intact, some gold edging to base missing.. This is a 100% all original shop advertisement, and NOT any form of reproduction / assured!!! Advert weighs heavy at 6.558 kg..
